Pakistan have ended a 15 year draught and finally won a test against Australia. It what was a thrilling finale at Leeds, Pakistan prevailed as they pipped past the winning total of 180 with three wickets to spare.
The bowlers were the stars for Pakistan. Mohammad Aamer and Mohammad Asif ensured Australia were put on the back foot right from the start by dismissing them for 88 in the first innings.
As always Australia fought hard, restricting Pakistan to just 258 in the first innings and then crawling their way back in with a 179 run lead.
But in the end the first innings disaster proved too costly and Pakistan romped home to a long overdue win.
