Opening batsmen Salman Butt has been named captain of the Pakistani side after the shock retirement of Shahid Afridi.
Afridi made the decision to quit soon after his sides 150 run loss to Australia. Butt was the vice captain on the ongoing tour of England and his appointment as captain was confirmed on Saturday.
His first assignment will be agianst Australia on Wednesday, where he will be hoping to lead his side to a win, and draw the two match test series 1-1.
